Big difference between Blu-ray and DVD: Blu-ray is better both physically and capability-wise. I'm positive you've heard by now that blu-ray discs demand the use of a blue laser to read through the data. In fact, the primary reason for blu-ray's superiority is due to some breakthroughs in optical engineering. The wavelength of the blue laser could be lowered to 405nm from your red laser's 650nm... meaning that basically the same volume of information could be stored and retrieved in a smaller spot. Generating the disc layer thinner and slightly increasing the laser aperture size eliminated unwanted spreading and bending of the light waves to keep it properly focused. For guys who do not have not standalone Blu-ray player. To copy Blu-ray to DVD may be a god idea. Step1. Load Blu ray source to Blu ray Copy Click the drop down button of “Source”, choose your Blu ray drive which you have inserted your Blu ray disc. You can import Blu ray folder at the same time. Step2. Decide on Target Click the drop down box of “Target” and select “DVD disc”. Only when your computer has DVD drive, you could see the DVD disc option. Step3. Do some choices. Choose Disc Type, Copy Mode, and input your wanted Disc Label. “Disc Type” including BD, DVD-5, DVD-9, etc. and “Copy Mode” for Full, Main, or Custom Movie content copy. Only when you choose Main Movie or Custom Movie in Copy Mode, you'd probably be able to set audio and subtitle options by clicking “More”. Step4. Start to copy Blu-ray to DVD Click the “Start” to copy Blu ray to DVD disc. The copy process will be finished quickly. Then, burn off result DVD to disc.
